My Story

Since you’ve found your way here, I’d love to share the story behind Yoko Fashion Byron Bay.

My name is Edith, founder of Yoko Fashion Byron Bay, an Australian label specialising in scarves, shawls and ponchos made from beautiful natural fibres, designed to bring everyday beauty into women’s wardrobes.

I was born in Switzerland and first lived in Australia in the early 1990s with my husband and our two young sons. During that time, I fell in love with Byron Bay, and over the years the dream of living there grew stronger. In 2011, when my children were grown, I followed my heart and made Byron Bay my home.

Yoko Fashion was created in 2014 to combine the best of my two worlds, the relaxed coastal spirit of Byron Bay and the timeless elegance of Switzerland. Today I live between Byron Bay and Luzern, Switzerland, and this balance continues to inspire every collection.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed using fine Australian Merino wool, natural fibres chosen for their softness, comfort and versatility across seasons. I work closely with international artisans and ethical manufacturers who use AZO-free dyes and maintain high production standards.
